Query for HSMP VISA, applied from UK?
I am currently on a student visa. I have been in the UK for the past 13 months. I applied for a Highly skilled migrant program TIER 1 General category visa in the month of July 2009. The requirement was to get Masters Degree along with work experience which i had since i received it from India. I received a rejection from the Home Office stating that my name found on the income tax doent did not match when they verified the same from the Income tax website since the account number is linked to the name once u verify it on the web. They stated that i gave them a false doent since my name Sunny Kamlesh Kumar Waghel was written in the pport. They referred my name on the pport which was Sunny Kamlesh Waghel. I consulted my solicitor to reapply to the home office for reconsideration since the allegation put on me was wrong due to kumar not being present on my pport n the home office had rejected my initial application due to the same reason. I attached my original copy of Permanent Account Number in my reconsideration application which has my photograph, along with my full name and signatures however the name mentioned on the PAN card differs only by Kumar n the rest is all fine. Further they contacted my solicitor to send them my latest photograph. Ever since then, i have not received my pport n its been more than six weeks in the process. I am really worried n tensed due to this since my existing student visa expires on the 30th November 2009. If i don't get any reply from the home office till the 30th November then i will not be eligible to stay in the country officially. However my question is what would be the reason for this delay n what possibilities are there for the HSMP visa to be granted to me under this situation. I have already cleared the 65 points under various other categories of HSMP visa. My only category left is the income proof which was questioned since my name did not match as per my pport for which i have already submitted the proof in the form of original copy of PAN card. I'll be thankful to anyone who can help me understand the current scenario in this case.
