Question for folks who believe in titheing?

Suzanne, you are obviously very intelligent and sincere in your faith. I agree with your point and also think it wrong the way some groups treat it as a tax for attending a church. The better churches have not set rules for giving. The scriptures tell us that those who have much, much is expected of them and those who have little, little is expected of them. This concept should also apply to tithing. When i was homeless no one ever told me i could not attend the Church or the Mes just because i had shabby clothes and no money to donate. In fact the Church frequently used the donations to give me things I needed and most often without me even asking. In my opinion this is the proper usage and collection of tithes. Many people know the letter of the law but totally miss the point and do not understand the Spirit of the law, which is certainly much more important. Peace be with you.
