Is there a device that will receive emails, photos and videos only? Something that does not require a computer?

My father is very ill and computer illiterate. I will be travelling across the country and he is heart broken. I would like to be able to stay in touch with him by sending photos, emails ,and/or videos. I think it would really help both he and I in my absence. Is there a device that is easy to use and does not require a full computer?
